Jean Rasenberger works in video, photography, and performance. Her work has been exhibited at such museums as The Museum of Modern Art, NY, The Hammer Museum, Los Angeles, the Renaissance Society, Chicago, and the Long Beach Museum, Long Beach, Ca. Her films have screened in such festivals as the Atlanta Film & Video Festival and the AFI Film & Video Festival. Her performance work has been shown at LACE, Los Angeles and the Rosamund Felsen Gallery.She has curated exhibitions including the internationally traveled "Into The Lapse". She has given lectures on her work at such venues as the Society for Photographic Education, Los Angeles and the Royal Academy of Fine Arts, Copenhagen. She received a NEA Regional Fellowship and a Brody Arts Fund Fellowship. Rasenberger was awarded a Great Teacher Award from Art Center College where she has taught since 1994. She received her MFA from Art Center College in 1992, was a fellow at the Whitney Museum in 1982-83, and received her BA from Sarah Lawrence College, Bronxville, NY in 1982. She has recently completed a feature length documentary about post-war memory in Northern Ireland (2014/2015).
